Original out of print German hardback printing, published by Zweitausendeins.
Among the seven German sketchbooks this is rarest one.
Includes the original insert booklet with German translation and the original cardboard slipcase. The book itself is a facsimile as close to the original as possible. With marbled endpapers and blue cloth ribbon bookmark, 388 pages, 8” x 10". This is the worldwide first edition, first printing, which began to appear years before the Fantagraphics edition started. The words “R. Crumb sketchbook, late 1967 to mid 1974” are printed and contained in every copy of the book. Cloth covered boards with gilt spine lettering, very solid workmanship.
