"This drawing by R. Crumb was done for a book about circus freak Johnny Eck that was never published - This 8-1/2" x 11" reproduction of the cover art was produced as a bookplate for Crumb to sign for inclusion in Crumb-ology by Carl Richter. The size of the bookplate was too large for the book, however, and a smaller version was eventually signed by Crumb and inserted into Crumb-ology for the deluxe edition. Meanwhile, the few 8-1/2" x 11" prints that were made in error have been sitting here at Water Row Press for almost 5 years"
