GREETINGS!

I would like to give just a little background info about how this interview came about. In late 2004, Steve and I decided that we would like to try to do an interview for EB. Well, easier said than done- the first try is a telephone interview and it did not work out to anything very tight. Actually it's pretty long. So we wanted to pull off an interview that would not take forever for readers to get through. Somewhere in one of our long telephone conversations, we hit on the idea of a free-association interview, where I could just provide him the words, and he could respond with whatever came to mind. I emailed him the words on March 24 (I just checked!) and he published the finished text on his site in November 2005. Hope you enjoy it, I have illustrated it with photos of Steve's home studio, several images from EB and a slightly tweaked one from my personal collection

I really enjoyed the interview and it was long time coming.
