http://www.petervanbreugel.net Born in Lilydale, Victoria, a first generation Australian of Dutch migrants, I began drawing and painting in oils at around nine years of age. I excelled in Art and Music at school and began working life as a junior display artist (Retail Merchandising), studying show card and ticket writing at night school. Moving to Brisbane, Queensland at nineteen, I worked in various jobs, then undertook a three year full-time course in Commercial Art-Illustration. Later I worked in the printing trade as an illustrator and assembly artist. I am also a self taught musician and songwriter. I currently live in the Upper Yarra Valley of Victoria and am busily involved in developing new ideas for community based art projects. As a Mural Artist and with the help of local councils, I am striving to add colour and atmosphere to local communities in and around Melbourne, Victoria.
