About
Nitsche was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he also studied art. At the age of 26, he moved to the U.S., where he began his profession as graphic designer and art director, particularly for General Dynamics, for which he is best known. His artwork was highly influenced by the technical and natural artistry of mechanical, hydraulic and aeronautical engineering. Clear design, bright colors, clean typography and geometric foundations were the hallmarks of his work. He expanded these traits to books, annual reports and other printed materials that he produced for General Dynamics. Following his successful 30-year career, he primarily worked illustrating children's books. Contact
