In the center is an eye, the window to the soul, which like all windows can go both ways. In art it provides a "contact point" with the viewer. In the inner eye is a skeletal ouroborean snake, this is symbolic of the constant destruction necessary for the other ouroboros, that of constant creation. Behind the circles is an Aleph, (the Hebrew A). In the hermetic Qabbalah it is representative of the "whirling forces" that is the innate force and energy of the universe. This is the two snakes combined, that bring the universe into creation and dissolution in each moment to keep equilibrium. Surrounding the outer circle is also two rings: one of fire and one of leaves, this further symbolizes this dichotomy between creation and destruction. On the outer edges is the shape of a cross. The cross with a circle in the center was the ancient form of the Hebrew letter Teth; which also means "serpent". The Teth in Qabbalah is symbolic of strength, and the Qabbalah as well, as a circle corresponds to 22 and 4 (the Hebrew Alphabet {and pi} and YHVH). This serpent energy can further be seen as the powerful kundalini of yoga.
