Stencil, Spraypaint, and Gel Transfer on 1" wood. Each panel is signed on the side and labeled/stenciled on the back.
a little info on the piece...
I started with ten 12"x12"x1" Baroque Wood Artist Panels and painted them using 3 different white paints creating a bubble and cracked effect. Next a hand cut stencil was used to create the unique coloring behind each insect. Then a spray clearcoat layer was applied over the whole piece. Next, the insect was gel transfered onto the panel(completing the insect). The last step was a clear gel layer brushed onto each panel. Each panel is signed on the side and labeled/stenciled on the back. - Ian
