"Tonalli" is a Nahuatl word for the soul, that could be more accurately described as energy derived from the sun. The symbol on the necklace is an Azteca symbol for sunshine. I was trying to convey the feeling you sometimes find in the southwest desert when the sun is setting and is filtered through the dirt in the air, creating a hazy golden glow.
