Sandhill Cranes are the voice of the prairie. Every year millions stop along the Platte river in Nebraska on their way to or from breeding locations as far north as Alaska and Siberia. It's one of the greatest spectacles in nature. I was lucky enough to see it a few years ago, and was inspired. This one is calling out in the tall grass. A portion of the sales from this print will be donated to The International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, WI (www.savingcranes.org)
