Created to celebrate 40 years in the printing trade of Paul who runs Screen One down on Jamaica Street, and has done printing for all of these guys at one point or another.
The print’s been commissioned to go with the Drewett Neate auction, the preview held at the Ultralounge in Selfridges in London

Dreweatts asked us to release a print to mark the occasion - we thought it was a apt time to release a special one that we mentioned before, as the auction is largely a collection of work from the south-west.

Paul Weston prints all of our editions, and runs Screen One on Jamaica Street, Bristol. Printing for 40 years now, he's produced screens for all the Bristol greats, (including Banksy and Nick) - and still does. Well before anybody bought it much, Paul was the man who everybody came to to do it. It's about time he got his props.

Featuring contributions from an unprecedented number of Bristol artists, this print celebrates Screen One, and it's part in the increasingly admired history of street art in Bristol. In the midst of all the madness ('...no, Banksy is not Howard Jones...'), it is both a document, and a reminder of simpler times. All the names are on there... That's partly why we didn't do it for so long in this strange climate (strange to us at least), but it's an image which really means something in the context of the Dreweatts auction. Before there was commerce there was community, and Screen One has been our community centre for many years (as the walls inside testify to). We love this funny little building, which has been a hub, a hang out, and the place in which people have been putting down the street art of Bristol onto paper for well over a decade.
