Full title: 'A daughter without a mother and a mother without a daughter'
In memory of Manson's friend Jennifer Syme, David Lynch's assistant.
From Manson's biography: 'Our relationship with Lynch had begun two years earlier through a girl we had met named Jennifer, who claimed to be Lynch's assistant. At the time, everybody else had dismissed her as a name-dropping groupie. But when it came down to it, her claim was not only true, it resulted in an offer for us to collaborate with him on the soundtrack to his new movie, Lost Highway, as well as appear in the film.'
The Golden Age of Grotesque was Marilyn Manson's first art exhibition, held at the Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions Center. Paintings exhibited included works completed by as early as 1998, and Manson's "Grey" period, up to early 2002. This exhibition spanned from September 13, 2002 until September 14, 2002.
Also appeared in the Trismegistus show. Trismegistus was Marilyn Manson's second art exhibition, held in Paris and Berlin. Paintings exhibited largely included but were not limited to works displayed during The Golden Age of Grotesque exhibition. This exhibition featured nine new additions on display. This exhibition spanned from September 14, 2004 until September 15, 2004.
