Initially, the "Turkey Trip" was to be held at the Duke Tire warehouse located on 11th Street and Peachtree Street ("the Strip" in Atlanta). At the last minute, the warehouse was condemned by the City and the event was moved to the Georgian Terrace Ballroom. The success of this event inspired Alex Cooley to open the "Electric Ballroom" in the same location.
"Special Guests" were Knowbody Else. Knowbody Else soon changed their name to "Black Oak Arkansas."
