Originally the Dead were going to play New Orleans that Spring and I was anxious to do a piece for New Orleans. I had just left there on a business trip and was totally in the vibe of the Zydeco music. Anyways, The City of New Orleans thought the Dead was a bad idea and hassled so much that it was cancelled. At that point the art was done. The Dead had a southern leg on that Spring tour which included Atalanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, etc. so we figured it would still be a great shirt to do. We titled it ZYDEADCO, which I thought was super catchy, but it didn't catch on. The art is awesome I think though. I went down to the local music store and borrowed Accordian and Fiddle, and had my office manger Susan pose for the forms
