First, each welded shape was sanded and powder-coated. The photographs were collaged and screenprinted onto adhesive-coated decal paper. These decals were applied to the surface of each piece. One area of hand-painting was included on each work . Once the decal application and this hand-painting were completed, each piece was heated to a temperature of 200 degrees Farenheit for fifteen minutes to bond the decals to the surface of the sculpture. Heat was released during this baking process through an air hole that can be found on each work. Edition numbers were hand-painted. A clearcoat was sprayed on each piece as the final step.
The photographs were taken by the artist during his trip to Tibet. Each edition sculpture received the artist's signature in English and Tibetan upon completion.
