Per DCS:
The Karl Denson art print - this print is from a photograph Jeff took on Jam Cruise in 2006. It's a test print for some original canvases to be produced down the road of this image and others. Jeff has been experimenting with canvas on the press, but he could not print with the UV inks as the heat/light cure warped the canvases too badly. We won't print with solvents if we can get around it as they are vile, so our only other option was to see if we could do what we wanted with water based inks. In the early days, we were using all solvent based inks before we switched to UV inks, so we've never really worked with water based here.
Of the Karl print, there are 40 Subscription Edition pieces, 10 A/Ps that get put in our archive, and a couple of printers proofs. There are a few left over beyond those that will become "originals" after Jeff gets through with them, i.e., they will be painted or drawn. The Karl print in these colors and on this paper will not be produced for a S/N edition for sale to the general public. The only way to get one is to have a subscription.
