Schwagstock 31 was held on the weekend of Aug. 11th and 12th at Camp Zoe in Salem, MO. Here it is, a limited edition original poster print of the Schwagstock 31 festival. I printed 31, 11" x about 15". They were slightly trimmed from 11" x 17". It is on heavy semi-gloss card stock in full color. I was havin' way too much fun listening to The Schwag, Keller Williams, Freeworld, Minivan Bluesband and Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty among others to work them too hard on Shakedown St. Again these are a Limited Print of 31 and very trippy. Here is the story behind it. I started the art work on Jerry Garcia's Birthday August 1st and finished it on Michael Houser's death day August 10th. Jerry is in the sun and I also drew a rendition of the moontimes moon(WP). On the left is the Further bus with the stop sign out about to drive into a twisted colorful abyss. A dancing bear and cycle sam riding a magic carpet are at the bottom. The all seeing eye/pyramid from the dollar bill is also at the bottom with a sweet leaf behind the eye. On the right is a desert scene with an oil pump and a camel and rider on the dunes. In the middle are red roses dripping oil. I tried to bring current events to the artwork. Of course most of the bands are listed around the border. A steal your face with 31 around it and Schwagstock are at the top. Around the corners are roses and skeleton/ roses at the bottom. - Mark Young
