August 2, 1968: The Doors and The Who share the bill. The riotous show by The Doors was the impetus for Pete Townsend to write "Sally Simpson," which was featured on "Tommy" a year later.
August 23, 1968: Jimi Hedrix with The Soft Machine and The Chambers Brothers. The "Extra Feature Attraction" was the final NYC appearance of Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company.
August 30, 1968: The Rascals and Vagrants share the bill.
