This is a 13-instrument limited edition run of Fender's ’50s Telecaster Relic LTD guitar with custom art by Shepard Fairey. No two of them are alike.
Features include a premium ash body, U-shaped maple neck with 7.25”-radius maple fingerboard and 21 vintage-style frets, nickel/chrome hardware, flat dome Telecaster knobs, Fender/Gotoh® vintage-style tuning machines, vintage-style bridge with three special-design brass saddles and a “distressed” aluminum pickguard. The two custom Nocaster® vintage Telecaster single-coil pickups feature a custom vintage wiring circuit and three-position blade switching: position 1—bridge and neck pickups with counterclockwise blend control; position 2—neck pickup; position 3—neck pickup with no tone control (dark vintage circuit). Controls include master volume and neck pickup blend (position 1 only).
Each guitar is built with all-original detailing and from original tooling, and features Fender's “Relic” treatment to show years of natural wear and tear—nicks, scratches, worn finish, rusty hardware and aged plastic parts.
Accessories include a tweed thermometer case with gold interior or a standard molded case with black interior, strap, cable, bridge cover, capacitor and wiring diagram (for updating to a modern switching circuit) and certificate of authenticity.
