THE EELS/ LUSCIOUS JACKSON Ink on Bristol (9.5 in. x 8 in.) "This art was done around the winter of 1996. The image of a deathly sick child reflected my general mood at that time. Things were rough and pretty screwed up in my life during this time. These kind of images just fell out of me. I used it later the following year for a poster promoting a show by THE EELS and Luscious Jackson. Only 25 of these were printed, if I recall correctly. I made NO money off of this, and really didn't care. I was doing artwork, at this point, because I HAD to. Some of you will understand where I'm coming from." -JR
