"So, Tori's album that was released around this tour was an album of cover tunes. The first track on her album was her version of 'HAPPINESS IS A WARM GUN'. She also covers an EMINEM tune. So, my idea was to do a set of 2 posters, one with John Lennon as a fairy (since Tori loves fairies and woodland sprites and all that) and to do EMINEM wearing a Tori Amos t-shirt. Pretty weird, I know...anyways... So, I'm doing the Lennon first, working on it one morning while I'm watching TV...and then these breaking news reports flash on the TV. It seemed some plane ran into the World Trade Center. Yep...it was 9-11. As the day wore on, Lennon's fairy wings got axed. So did the EMINEM idea. I ended up putting an image of Tori on Lennon's shirt, and instead of the button on Lennons jacket saying 'I LOVE TORI', it was changed to 'I LOVE N.Y.' I didn't draw eyes on Lennon, but used perfect dingbat font circles to create his famous horn-rimmed glasses. And that's that." -JR
