"I was trying to capture the sound of TOOL'S multi-layered musical/ lyrical content in this preliminary concept sketch. I was greatly influenced by traditional Mexican mural-style collages that I had been studying around that time. The final artwork that was eventually used for the poster exhibited almost no changes or revisions from this original sketch." -JR
