This artwork was for a poster promoting the first annual HOUSTONPALOOZA Festival in 2002. The teddy bears are a favorite everywhere, especially here in Houston...and though I really try NOT to use them anymore, I repeatedly get requests for them from people who contract me. This event was put on by a guy named Pete Omlin, who literally put everything on the line to try and pull this event off. It worked. In the final version of the artwork (that appeared on the poster), the state of Texas is in the bear's flaming hand. And yes, that IS Gandhi. At present, this poster has never been made available to collectors."
