From the artist:
"Hello everyone,
My heart breaks for the people of Los Angeles. It's a place I once called home and continues to welcome me and hold many of those that I love.
It's easy to feel helpless in hard times like these but it's important that we all find a way to give back. That's why I made this original painting called "Chumash of Malibu". The Chumash have been experiencing fires in the hills around LA for thousands of years. Embodying their resilience will help LA build back stronger.
We're gonna to do this two ways - for 24 hours starting tomorrow (Tuesday) at 8am PST until 8am on Wednesday you can bid on the original or buy a print.
All proceeds will be donated to the brave men and women who are fighting these fires and trying to save this beautiful city.
Stay safe and hug your loved ones,
MM"
- Proceeds will be split between the Los Angeles Fire Department and Cal Fire.
- The original painting measures 14" x 18" and is oil on linen. It will be auctioned to the highest bidder.
- The print image is 11" x 14" and paper size is 13" x 16". The print has a 1" border and will be numbered, embossed and signed by Mark.
- Final edition size will be determined by how many prints sell during the 24-hour window.
