Hello my Friends,
This Thursday I'll be releasing two more of my Beinart Gallery pieces as full color screen prints.
We're working with the VGKids in Ypsilanti, Michigan. They do beautiful work, so I'm very excited to bring these to you.
"Moving Day" is a 7 color screen print with a line art variant.
This piece is very close to my heart, having anticipated a move for the last year and having just completed it. Here I depicted the gathering up and leaving of the old house. The residents in space suits symbolizing the difficulty of the far flung adventure. The old house shows signs of once being loved... maybe it will always be loved. Tv's discarded like communication that never happened but probably should have. The face of Time, or Pinochio, or Humpty Dumpty, with the long nose growing into a nearby tree symbolizes the fragility of honesty and ultimately the effort of wanting to stay together through it all. Water is surrounding the house like some impending necessity is at hand. Moving is a difficult but powerful experience. It forces us to face the neglected corners of our lives and bring some care and order to chaos. It forces us to consider all the great transitions of life. I hope you can find something of yourselves in this piece as I have.
