I humbly present my latest and first ever large format linoleum block print “Sequoia” available this Wednesday Feb 28th at 12noon EST
Being my first edition off my new (old) larger vandercook press, I wanted an image and narrative that pushed a sense of grandeur and awe. I thought back to times in my life where I was overwhelmed with that feeling, and none stood out more than a trip Kara and I made to Yosemite years ago and experiencing the immense Sequoia groves. It’s almost impossible not to give these ancients a hug when standing at their feet, at least it was for me. I hope I captured a sliver of that feeling, and of natures never ending beauty, in this image. Enjoy
