"Clash of the Tiny Titans"
Acrylic on panel. Inspired by Thundercats and He-Man cartoons.
Exhibited and sold by Gallery1988. Included in the group exhibition “Raised by Rainbows 4EVER” curated by Luke Flowers. Released online for pre-sale at 2 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023. Public exhibit opened Saturday, March 11, 2023, and closed March 31, 2023.
The artist revealed the painting on Instagram on March 8, 2023. In his post, he wrote:
“Clash of the Tiny Titans!” Here’s my contribution to @lfcreative ‘s Raised By Rainbows group show, opening this Friday at @galleries1988 ! This painting is inspired by two of my favorite afternoon fantasy cartoons of the ‘80s (which included two of my LEAST favorite annoying sidekicks... well, Orko’s not THAT bad, I guess...). There’s a print version as well—look for the reveal soon!
Original art for the art print “Afternoon Adventure Stores.” Trade dress and other typography were digitally added to create a faux pulp comic cover. The art print was also exhibited and sold at “Raised by Rainbows 4EVER.”Inspired by Thundercats and He-Man cartoons. Open edition.
