This handmade etching is the result of a yearlong collaboration between artist Aron Wiesenfeld and renowned Italian printmaker Guido Pigni, during which the plate took six trips across the Atlantic.
Using the same intaglio technique that has remained unchanged since the 1400's - hand-drawn on copper plate and etched in acid, each print is then hand-inked and pressure printed on Arches archival 300gsm paper in Milan. The manual process makes each print subtly unique from the others in the edition.
