"Based on a mural in São Paulo, Brazil that my team and I worked on in 2021 as part of the Nalata Festival. São Paulo is one of the few cities in the world which has prohibited traditional outdoor advertising, opening up opportunities for artists like me to create public works. The pervasiveness and quality of murals in the neighborhood where I painted was incredibly inspiring and I’m grateful to have added my voice. My “Carga Frágil” mural is about cultivating justice, focusing on the need for environmental justice to keep our planet healthy. Brazil is the home of the largest Amazonian rainforest, one of the most important sources of oxygen for planet earth. We are all stewards of the planet, so I hope the mural and this print can serve as a reminder that we must protect the earth’s fragile cargo for future generations." -Shepard Fairey
