The Rubano Tapes Vol. 2 is a live album by The Smashing Pumpkins documenting 18 songs from early shows. It is the fourth archive release by the band and the second volume of The Rubano Tapes following Volume 1. Rubano refers to Billy Corgan's close friend Mike Rubano (known to the band as "Cuz"), that accompanied the band and recorded their live shows and rehearsals from 1988 to 1991.
Sold exclusively through Madame ZuZu's on November 25. All copies were pressed on mustard yellow vinyl, with 100 copies signed by Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha.

“The Rubano Tapes Vol. 2” features 17 songs of never before heard versions of future SP classics and as was often the case in the band’s early years, songs performed but once. Of note, most of the recordings, culled from these 60 tapes, were done with 2 microphones in the open air of a club or rehearsal space offering fans a unique opportunity to place themselves in the crowd when The Smashing Pumpkins took the stage some 30+ years ago. These original tapes have been digitally processed to the highest standards and have been mastered by mastering legend Howie Weinberg.
