As my free 'PJ Love' print begins to arrive in the homes of the first 100 buyers of my book from my Kickstarter last May I wanted to thank you all again for supporting my retrospective book. It's really a dream fulfilled. As a young artist beginning my long journey as an aspiring professional I used to revel in wonder at large retrospective books by known artists. It was staggering to think of having THAT much work and enough to fill an entire large book. I always thought I'd like to have that someday but that day seemed so very far away. Maybe people would have jet packs then, colonies on the Moon and Mars. 32 years later we have drones, rovers and a new mission to the moon on the horizon so I guess reality isn't quite as fantastical as we'd hoped but I do have a LARGE retrospective book coming in Spring. Thanks to all that have supported me and my family throughout my professional journey. You all literally house, feed and allow us to thrive through your support and it's something I can never fully relay to you how grateful I am. This poster was one of the ways I've attempted to show my appreciation. An interesting note on this poster, as you may know this image was hidden in glow in the dark ink in the border of my Norman Rockwell homage 2011 Pearl Jam 20 poster so it's a reference to that amazing event and all of the lovely people I met. I titled it 'PJ Love' as a nod to that unbelievable event and being chosen to create the official poster for the celebration. The placement of the poker card design of the J is obviously in the bottom right in reference to my first name but did you know that Norman Rockwell's middle name was Percevel? That's a part of why I named this print what it's named, it just worked so well. Thanks again! Happy holidays to you all!
