Features artwork by Gris Grimly, created exclusively for MoMA for the exhibition Guillermo del Toro: Crafting Pinocchio on view through April 15, 2023. Grimly designed a version of the Pinocchio character for an illustrated edition of the Carlo Collodi novel. Del Toro, a Grimly fan, loved the artist’s conception and it became a crucial reference point for his film Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio.
