A half sheet poster for American International Pictures horror thriller retelling of Edgar Allan Poe's story: Tomb of Ligeia. From 1964 (released in the U.S. in 1965) and directed by Roger Corman the film starred Vincent Price and Elizabeth Shepherd. The half sheet bears a different tag line than the one sheet:
One sheet: "Even on her wedding night she must share the man she loved with the 'Female Thing' that lived in the Tomb of the Cat!"
Half sheet: “Cat or Woman or a thing too evil to mention? Listen for the SCREAM in the night look into the eyes of the creature who rules the land of the living dead!"
While posters for the film consisted primarily of one sheet (27” x 41”) posters, a small number of half sheet (22” x 28”) posters were also printed and distributed. These half sheets were typically folded twice: once in half vertically and then in half again horizontally. These half sheets are a rare find these days, almost 60 years later.
