Tim Burton is the author and illustrator of the lushly-bound (and not-necessarily-for-children) book MELANCHOLY DEATH OF OYSTER BOY.
OYSTER BOY is a collection of lovingly lurid rhyming short-short stories and accompanying pen-and-ink portraits of gruesome and misunderstood child outcasts – all imbued with Tim’s trademark black humor and empathy for the wounded.
This lithograph was printed by master printer Toby Michel of Angeles Press from film seperations created from an original pen & ink and watercolor wash drawing by the artist.
