The latest installment in our annual print series celebrating Albert Hofmann’s wide-eyed ride on April 19th, 1943 is designed by Helen Kennedy (Zazzcorp). Hofmann’s “problem child” would help unlock doors of perception tonight a spark for Garcia and a generation. This 6-color screen print measures 18” x 18” and is offered in a limited edition of 500 individually numbered prints.

To me psychedelics and the music of Jerry Garcia go hand in hand. Even if not actively indulging, there is a transportive state simply by listening to the music . Being asked to do the Jerry Garcia Bicycle day print was both thrilling and terrifying. How do you express love, time, history, highs, lows, and you know the culture of psychedelica in a single image? I kept coming back to universal, Jerry to me was universal beyond language, beyond symbolism, it was love. So with universal in mind this is what I created, hope you enjoy!
