"Primus is one of those bands that I always see really out there and wild art for, and someone whom I’ve always wanted to get a crack at creating something for - so I was ecstatic when I was approached about creating this piece, and super jazzed when I was given the green light for a very tame (by Primus standards) yet surreal piece for them. This one is a bit more abstracted in terms of connectors to the city, but moreover exploring how the band is doing a cover/tribute to Rush’s “a farewell to kings” record and focusing on shifting the time back to when that record came out. There’s a TON of Easter eggs throughout this piece, my favorite of which being the main clock face. Huge shoutout to Dave Kloc for dropping some serious Primus/rush knowledge on me while I was working on this guy."
