"To me, the tune simultaneously evokes the idea of collision and aquatic references, so I chose to depict a watery goddess siren attracting a young man into turbulent emotional waves, beckoning him and the viewer towards beautiful but dangerous terrain. A molten scholar rock grotto acts as a throne for the spirit who is adorned in tattoos relating to song and contextual lyrics. White lillies appear on the her body as a reference to producer Steve Lillywhite, who produced the album Crash (and other favourites). Hair and covering garments are comprised of splashforms and wave motifs which bend and flow along with the surrounding tides. A naval bomb (ball and chain) breaks the surface as the dreaming boy draws closer. The scene is enshrined by poppies (symbolizing dreams and sleep), all encased in a decorative Mucha-esque frame. The image overall is meant to be one of sweetly flowing and shimmering beauty infused with a dash of darkness upon deeper thought (like the song itself)." -Miles Tsang
