Hand-embellished by the artist‘Mother’ is a tribute to the resilience and strength of women. Inspired by his mother’s battle with, and survival of cancer, the painting combines his signature stylized toughness with a more softer take using earthen tones and organic details. His women warriors emerge victorious, if not unscathed, amid intense sorrow and mythic adversity, but baring blood as living evidence of the sacrifice that love demands.
