Illustration by Ward Sutton commissioned by Entertainment Weekly magazine for their special issue featuring Phish from the year 2000.
The illustration was for EW’s “Phish Dictionary” - under the letter P it listed the band Pavement: “Phish’s unlikely indie-rock inspiration. Mention Pavement to Anastasio and prepare for him to gush with praise.” The image is of Trey bowing before Pavement’s “Slanted and Enchanted” CD on a pedestal.
