10 color screen print
"This is not a screen print based on a painting of mine, using some sort of mechanical separation process to split the colors up for printing. It's very labor intensive, created one color at a time. It's more like building a watercolor painting one thin layer at a time, and using solvents in a subtractive way. It approximates the look of my paintings because I first create a black 'inked' version of the art traditionally, then scan it, sample various ares of that original inked drawing over various color areas of the print. This keeps the piece from looking too cold and computer-y."
