The unrest began as local protests in the metropolitan area of Minnesota before quickly spreading across the entire nation and internationally in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. In an unprecedented show of solidarity, people of all races marched together in protest of a system that has long marginalized, degraded and killed African-American citizens without impunity. Protests are the voices of the unheard and we can no longer be silent.
