The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art and artist Michael Kagan released a signed Limited Edition of 200 prints to benefit the Museum. This exclusive print sale launched on Friday, May 8 2020 at 11am and sold out around 1pm.
The painting of In Memory, 2019 debuted at Michael Kagan's first solo museum exhibition I Was There When It Happened at Virginia MOCA. The image originated from a renowned photograph of Buzz Aldrin taken by Neil Armstrong during the Apollo 11 mission.
"We cannot thank Michael Kagan enough for his generous contribution and for working with the Museum in so many other ways," notes Director of Exhibitions and Education Alison Byrne.
