Nadya is strong and beautiful, smart and fearless. The image is based on an excellent photo from photographer Neil Krug. In the background, I wanted to pay tribute to punk rock and political pioneers... Siouxsie, Blondie, Patti, Riot Grrrl, Peaches, Bikini Kill, Annie, Aretha, Jane and Greta. Shouts to Bad Brains and Black Flag and of course Hello Kitty, among others.
