"I had been to Iceland recently, and had very much fallen in love with the country and its people. I wanted to portray an elven spirit for the poster, wearing the north star upon her brow, turning toward the viewer – body in profile, head full on – gesturing with kindness to her heart. As you know, I am fond of nature spirits and goddesses. Iceland is a mythic land peopled by Huldufólk and supernatural beings that appeal to my imagination. Elves, trolls, hidden people and water spirits appear in dreams, and visions, or cross the corner of the eye in Iceland. Many believe in them there." -Chuck Sperry
