"I've been a huge admirer of Jonas Ã…kerlund from the moment I saw his music video for Metallica's 'Turn The Page.' Years later, I'd learn his name (and never forget it) when he'd helm an incredibly nightmarish and tragically beautiful drug-induced short film for The Smashing Pumpkins' song 'Try, Try, Try' forever cementing him as one of my favorite directors.
"LORDS OF CHAOS was everything I wanted it to be and more. It weaves shockingly violent, funny and heartbreaking together flawlessly. This concept was eating at my brain from the moment I finished watching the film. Inspired by a scene in the film, on the surface it reads fairly straightforward: a crow perched on a cross amidst a burning stave church.
