"Earlier in 2018, Austin-based metal band The Sword commissioned Thomas to create an illustration to be etched onto the B-side of a 12" single accompanying their "Used Future" LP. The single's A-side song is themed around Greek gods and serpents in relation to the giant storms of Texas. The original artwork was drawn using ink, brush, and nib."
