Diva Plavalaguna is a a 6 colour screen print by Rhys Cooper, created specifically for the OUTTA’ TUNE exhibition. Rhys has designed a poster that takes takes elements from the art nouveau and art deco eras and mashes them together with the cyber punk world of the fifth element. Layers of different metallic inks give this print a space age shine. Flecks of silver pop through a transparent gold, glinting like starlight. Glossy black line-work bring out the the gritty detail of Rhys’ illustrative ability, and still pop just as boldly when they catch the light.
