"Both of us are well versed in the Grateful Dead art history and culture, but for this piece we wanted to focus more intently on Jerry's experience, particularly with LSD. To prepare for this piece, we read an interview with Jerry, and tried to convey his observations in a way that shows how much he meant to others through his musicality. We mixed some M.C. Escher and Terry Gilliam reference into it, as nods to Jerry's complexity and humor. And the color is pulled straight from the late 60's summer of love."
