"I am proud to present the second print in my Classical Series for Black Dragon Press.
Unrelentlessy dark and dreary, Winterreise (Winter Journey) is nonetheless one of Schubert's most famous and acclaimed song cycles. Taking us on a journey through the snow-covered landscapes of 19th century Germany, the composer explores a man's decaying relationship with the world and the people around him through haunting melodies. My artwork is inspired by the cycle as a whole but focuses more particularly on one song, Die Krähe (The Crow), showcasing this dark omen looming over the desperate traveler." -- Delort
