3 color silkscreen with two split fountains
Printed on 100#c Kraft-Tone Manila Yellow Kraft paper from French Paper Co.
Part of the "Travel By Screen" series from Sally Centigrade Gallery. Artists from each of the 50 states are asked to create an 18" x 24" screen print representing their state, and more specifically, their local area. The only requirement was that the artwork contained the artist's local area code.
"The latest in our travel by screen series, Tom captured North Carolina's 910 area code. Area code 910 was established on November 14, 1993 as a split from area code 919, as North Carolina's first new area code in 39 years. It covers southeastern North Carolina, including the cities of Fayetteville, Jacksonville, Laurinburg, Lumberton and Wilmington. For this piece, Tom captured the more serene parts of an extremely diverse part of the Tar Heel state."
