"In keeping with Swans' use of sound as means of achieving ecstasy and purification, the figure of Michael Gira strums the guitar chord which releases fiery tidal waves of sound (6 rows of waves/guitar strings), the volume of which obliterates the musician/listener, the mind dissolving into a cosmic consciousness. It was also inspired by the architecture of the Schauspiel theater where the concert took place, the waves being also the rows of red seats, the galaxy spiral mirroring the shape of the vast spiral chandelier."
